" While the year 2009 was a landmark year for Alesco, we also had a setback.
Sir Raj Singhji Dungarpur, Founder Chairman of Alesco
Business School passed away in Mumbai on
12 September 2009 after a long sickness. He was also a
well known cricket player, former Board President of
BCCI and former President of the Cricket Club of India. "
Sir Dungarpur was a well known personality in the
international cricket world. He was also interested and
was a keen participant in anything to do with education.
It was under his guidance that the foundation stone of
Alesco was laid and he willing accepted to be the
Founder Chairman of Alesco Business School. Inspite
of his sickness he was leading and piloting Alesco
Business School continuously. To quote him about
IMBA, he said “Your time at Alesco will be best years of
your life. This is your chance to redefine your sense of
who you are and who you want to be.”
Raj Singhji was the very essence of compassion, of
duty, of style, of beauty. He always said that if you want
to be successful, be passionate and dedicated to your
work, no matter how small or big that may be. His great
kindness and compassion will always be remembered.
Royalty personified, his prime passion in life was to do
everything at its best. Affectionately called 'Rajbhai' in
the fraternity, he will always live on in our hearts.
Today is our chance to say ‘thank you’ for the way he
brightened our lives. No comfort is quite enough to
replace the loss. Alesco and everyone will deeply miss
Raj Singhji.
Late Shri Raj Singhji Dungarpur
Founder Chairman
Alesco Business School
